DESCRIPTION:SELF-DIRECTED SERVICES  \nSpeaker: Harpreet Saran Rokicki\, Program Director/Fiscal Intermediary\, Community Based Services\, PEOPLE Inc.     Harpreet has worked as a support broker for 9 years and a fiscal intermediary for 7 years in the Self-Directed Services Program. \nAre you tired of being on an endless wait list for respite and other support services? \nDo you want to have more control in choosing who works with your child? \nHave you ever thought about applying for Self-Directed services for your child? \nWhat is Self Direction? \nHow do I get started? \nWhat  Self-Direction might look for my child/ family \nWhat does the process entail and what are the advantages to this program and disadvantages. \nPresentation and handouts.   Followed by Q and A.    Come with your questions.    Parents will be attending who are a various stages in the Self-Directed Services process including one whose daughter has been using services for more than a year. \nSit and relax and have a cup of coffee and chat with other parents while learning if Self-Direction is right for your child and family. \nRSVP: (716) 633-2275 or info@autismwny.org.
