NYU Regional Center for ASD – Autism Month Event
Neurodiversity At Work: Perspectives on Autism and Employment
Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

With only 15-20% of autistic individuals estimated to be employed in the US, there is a clear opportunity to build a more inclusive workforce. In this Autism Month panel, we will hear perspectives from self-advocates and community professionals about how to support individuals with autism throughout the varying stages of the employment process. We will discuss topics like workplace accommodations and how employers can reinforce neurodiverse employees’ success. We will also discuss navigating self-disclosure in the workplace, job development resources in NYC, and more.
